Udine, the Venetian-Style City
The long reign of the Serenissima Republic of Venice has left a lasting mark on Udine. You can see it in the squares framed by arcades, loggias, and elegant palaces, all dominated by the castle perched on the hill.
From the top of the hill, your gaze sweeps across the city’s red rooftops, the rolling hills, and, in the distance, the crown of the Alps to the north.
Udine is an elegant and welcoming city. Its historic center is alive with restaurants, wine bars, cafés, stylish boutiques, and graceful buildings.
This is also the city of the painter Giambattista Tiepolo, who spent some of his most productive years here and left behind masterpieces that can still be admired in the Cathedral and other sites.
During a two-hour guided tour, we will explore the city’s highlights:
